1. Purpose

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of www.hagiotopia.com (the “Website”), published by Hagiotopia.

The Website presents travel packages, tours, pilgrimages, cultural or spiritual trips, excursions, experiences and other tourism services. These Terms govern Website use. Any booking is also subject to the Booking and Cancellation Terms, pre-contractual information, the accepted quotation or offer and, where applicable, specific terms for the relevant trip.

3. Acceptance and lawful use

Users must use the Website lawfully, in accordance with these Terms and third-party rights. Prohibited conduct includes fraudulent access to systems, introduction of malware, impersonation, unlawful automated collection, infringement of intellectual property rights and knowingly providing false information in connection with a booking.

4. Website availability

Hagiotopia takes reasonable measures to maintain Website access and security but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, technical incidents, cybersecurity or external causes. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

5. Travel information

Photographs, maps, descriptions and sample itineraries are informational until the contract is concluded. Final contractual characteristics are those provided before booking and confirmed in the contract.

Programmes may need to be adapted because of site opening hours, religious services, weather, safety, transport, public authority decisions, closures, works or unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. Contractual changes remain subject to the traveller’s mandatory statutory rights.

6. Historical, cultural and religious content

Editorial content is intended to inform and provide context. It does not replace authoritative scientific, institutional, theological or ecclesiastical sources. Certain subjects may be open to differing interpretations or developments in research.

7. Enquiries and bookings

Submitting a form or enquiry does not necessarily constitute a confirmed booking. A contract is formed in accordance with the Booking and Cancellation Terms and the documents provided to the traveller.

8. Information provided by the User

Users must provide accurate and current information, particularly names matching travel documents. Actual costs caused by corrections requested after tickets or reservations have been issued may be charged where permitted by law.

9. Prices

Prices are stated in euros unless otherwise indicated. Included and excluded services are specified in the offer. Once a package travel contract has been concluded, any price revision is subject to the conditions and limits imposed by applicable law and the contract.

10. Travel formalities

Travellers must hold the documents required for their personal circumstances and nationality. Hagiotopia provides the pre-contractual information for which it is legally responsible and recommends checking official requirements sufficiently in advance.

11. Mobility and special requirements

Some tours may involve walking, stairs, uneven ground, ancient sites or locations with limited accessibility. Special requirements must be disclosed before booking. Any special requirement accepted by Hagiotopia must be expressly confirmed where it constitutes an essential condition of the contract.

12. Insurance

Reference to BIRIS does not mean that every event is automatically covered. Only the relevant insurance contracts and notices determine beneficiaries, coverage, exclusions, deductibles, limits, territorial scope and claims procedures.

13. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Website, trade name, visual identity, texts, photographs, videos, illustrations, databases and original creations are protected by applicable law. Any reproduction or exploitation requiring authorisation is prohibited without the rights holder’s consent.

14. External links

The Website may link to third-party websites. Hagiotopia is not responsible for third-party content, availability or data processing outside its control.

15. Liability

Hagiotopia endeavours to keep information reliable and current. External information may nevertheless change without notice. No limitation in these Terms applies where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, particularly mandatory consumer and traveller rights under Greek and EU law.

16. Personal data and cookies

Personal data processing is governed by the GDPR, Greek Law 4624/2019 and other applicable rules. Cookies and trackers are governed in particular by Greek Law 3471/2006. Please see the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

17. Changes to these Terms

Hagiotopia may update these Terms for legal, technical or functional reasons. A change to Website Terms does not retroactively amend an existing travel contract except where permitted by law or validly agreed by the parties.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Greek law, subject to mandatory EU rules and any mandatory consumer protections applicable to the user.

Where eligible, consumers may use a competent Greek alternative dispute resolution body, including the Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή). Statutory rights of access to competent courts remain unaffected.

19. Severability

If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
